Notes |
- Daniel Leary enlisted in Company K, 6th Missouri Infantry in July 1861, just three months after the start of the the Civil War. He was promoted from private to corporal after the battle on 29 April 1862 when his unit helped with the advance and siege of Corinth, Mississippi. He was left on board a hospital boat at Pittsburgh Landing, Mississippi on 15 May 1862. He was eventually transported to St. Louis, Missouri where he died 2 January 1863 from consumption.
